Phillip Baldwin
Hey ya'll, my name is Phillip Baldwin. I am somewhat "north" of 55 (years that is!) . I have been in sales and sales management for the best part of 40 years. I am not originally from Texas, but as they say "I got here as quick as I could" - almost 30 years ago.
As a kid I was enthralled with motorcycles and in the mid 60's owned. at different times, a Honda s-65, Honda s-90, CB 450 and a BSA Lightning 650... I worked summers for a motorcycle, marine, ski-doo, chainsaw store in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. And that "sank" the hook as they say. When I started my career, I stopped riding until 1989.
In 1988 I got divorced and replaced my ex wife with a 1989 Harley-Davidson® 883 Sportster. This under-powered, vibrating, vile handling, could-not-stop, high maintenance motorcycle was just like being married again!!
Since then I have had the pleasure and good fortune of owning over 30 motorcycles in groups of one or two and sometimes three. You know the "drill" - I love this bike, I can't live without it, I'll never get rid of it , until the next machine comes along and steal's my heart, yada, yada. I currently have a "two at a time limit" rule.
The Harley® dealer made the mistake of selling me a Buell in 1994 which spelled the end of my fascination with Harley® and started me down the road of "performance road bikes". After about 3 weeks with the Buell I traded for a DucatI 916 and never looked back.
The last 20 or so motorcycles I have owned since 1995 have come from my friends at BMW Motorcycle of North Dallas. The list runs like this: Bimota -1, DucatI -3, Triumph -2, Moto Guzzi -1, MV Agusta -2, and BMW -14.
These great people, know what they sell, how to service and recommend the parts and accessories that make sense or make you happy or both (my case). If you are into all out performance they know how to, make it work and lighten your bank account, trust me!!
My current bikes are a 2007 BMW R 1200S sport bike with good touring capabilities, and an incredible 2007 DucatI 1098S, that makes no sense other than to "stun" you with its outrageous "superbike" performance and "Italian styling".
So, if you are looking for your first bike, an additional bike or your 33rd bike. Give this great team at BMW Motorcycle of North Dallas an opportunity to meet your needs... you will not be disappointed.
Yes, my wonderful wife since the middle 90's put's up with me and my passion (I think she's a keeper!).

Ps. This dealership doesn't sell chain saws...
Rob Roberson
Hi Folks, my name is Richard Rob Roberson. I was born in Ennis, the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas on December 8, 1929. My hobbies are music and motorcycles. I could say a lot about music, but instead I would like to tell you about my life with motorcycles.
My father was a mechanical engineer, so he had no problem in taking my Western Flyer Bicycle and my mothers Maytag washing machine motor and building my first motorbike when I was 11 years old. Later, I upgraded to a Whizzer, and when a senior in high school purchased a Famous James four speed motorcycle for $325. At that time you could get an MG sport car for $1,250. A memorable moment concerning the Famous James was the day a live calf broke away from my familys downtown market/slaughterhouse. It was a hoot chasing that calf through the downtown streets and alleyways and eventually getting him corralled on my motorcycle.
Then, after 2 years in the Army, I purchased in succession a Triumph Thunderbird, an Ariel Square Four, and then a Triumph Bonneville. The Bonnie gave me my first opportunity to travel at 120 mph.
In 1972 I purchased the first 850 Eldorado Moto Guzzi received by Storm Cycle Shop in Grand Prairie, TX. It was there I became acquainted with George, their motorcycle technician who kept my Eldorado in good repair through the years. Recently, 38 years after purchasing the Moto Guzzi, I sold it to my next door neighbor for the exact amount I paid for it in 1972.
Now, thanks to Elvis Jr., the General Sales Manager for European Cycle Sport, who never tired of the many times I entered his shop to drool over the fantastic selection of motorcycles, I am the happy owner of the fabulous 2010 Triumph Thunderbird SE. I am sure that George, who has now been with European Cycle Sport for many years, will keep my bike in good shape.
Incidentally, at age 80, I am living proof that motorcycling will keep you young (at least in heart)!
Richard (Rob) Roberson
P.S. Dont wait. See Elvis today.
